The Magpies lost their first preseason fixture away at Vale of Glamorgan side Llantwit Major RFC 36-26. Tumble's points came from tries by Steffan Wyn Davies (x2), Steffan 'Mawr' Davies and Ian Rees while Steven Hewitt kicked 3 conversions. The Magpies make the short journey to neighbours Cefneithin RFC next Saturday in their final warm-up game while the league begins the following weekend at home to Carmarthen Athletic RFC.
