The Magpies welcomed near neighbours Cefneithin RFC to Parc y Mynydd Mawr for this rearranged Christmas Cwm Gwendraeth derby. With the teams sitting in the respective positions of first and second in Admiral League Division 3 West B the outcome of this game would likely have a bearing in the title race come the end of this condensed league campaign (each side play each other once, home or away). Tumble took the lead through a try by hooker Rhys Lewis which was converted by outside half Steven Hewitt. Hewitt also added a penalty to make the score 10-0 before a converted try to Cefnethin brought the score back to 10-7. Another penalty by Hewitt and one to the Green and Golds saw the Magpies go into half time with a slender 13-10 lead.

The second half saw Cefneithin take the initiative and go into a 13-24 lead through two converted tries. With ten minutes to go Magpies captain Steffan Price crossed for a try to close the gap to 18-24 and give the home some hope of a comeback. Unfortunately, another Cefen penalty in the closing minutes saw the visitors run-out 18-27 winners and secure their first win at Parc y Mynydd Mawr in many a year, much to the delight of the traveling support. This was also Tumble's first defeat in 27 competitive games stretching back to the 19th October 2019.

A disappointing result but in truth Cefneithin were well worth the victory and deserved the four points. The loss now leaves Tumble only two points ahead at the top of the league with Cefen having played a game less, undefeated Trimsaran also lurk further down the table with a number of games in hand. In this season of only playing each team once the boys now have it all to do in their remaining fixtures starting with Betws away on 8th January.
