Club Update

The last couple of months at the club have been a busy period with our Senior men, women, youth and junior teams back in training and the launch of the Mynydd Mawr Girls Rugby Hub at Parc y Mynydd Mawr. Numbers in training have been very promising and it seems everyone is keen to get back to playing rugby after an enforced 18 month break. Let's hope that Covid numbers remain low enough to continue this gradual return to play process!

The Senior men's team hope to arrange a couple of friendly fixtures in mid July before launching into the WRU Bowl on 7 August. We find ourselves in Division F1 along with Amman United, Betws, Cefneithin and Cwmgors. The Piod Pinc are drawn in the South Wales Plate - West 2A  division along with Lampeter, Pembroke and West Swansea Hawks. A couple of long trips there when considering that due to Covid protocols it's unlikely that the use of changing rooms and showers will be permitted.

You may have seen on our social media channels that the new floodlights on the training field are now in place. Massive thanks to Sport Wales for the grant provided and the help and advice received from the Welsh Rugby Union and Actif Sir Gar. Big shoutout to our contractors Floodlighting and Electrical Ltd and Tycroes Group Ltd.

Diolch yn fawr iawn.

Ymlaen Y Piod.
