Following the abandonment of the first game between the two sides due to player injury the match between Tumble and Pontarddulais Ladies had to be fitted into a midweek slot to ensure it was played prior to the New Year league split. The Piod Pinc made the short trip to Pontarddulais RFC on Wednesday night and came away with a hard fought 5-17 victory against the Black and Ambers.
Tumble’s tries were scored through a brace from centre Hannah Stephens and one from young scrum half Mabli Davies. Outside half Kirsten Field completed the scoring with one conversion.
The win keeps the Piod Pinc in third place in Division 2 on 20 points, 1 behind second placed Morriston with both teams having Taffs Well to play in their final fixture. The girls don’t have long to wait for their final pre-split league fixture as they travel to Taffs Well on Saturday morning. The game kicks-off at 11am with the bus leaving Tumble at 9am, supporters welcome to cheer on the girls.
