The Piod Pinc welcomed Pembroke RFC Ladies to Parc y Mynydd Mawr in Admiral League Division 3 on Sunday afternoon. The Piod Pinc started off strongly and were 7-0 up within seven minutes when Bethan Price crossed for a try that was converted by Sophie Campbell-Cross. On 28 minutes Campbell-Cross extended the lead with a well struck penalty, making the score 10-0 to the hosts. If anyone in the crowd thought Tumble would now start to pull away with the score Pembroke had other ideas with two quick fire tries to level the score at 10-10. On 39 minutes the Piod Pinc were awarded a penalty within the Pembroke's 22 which Campbell-Cross calmly slotted over to give the hosts a slender 13-10 lead which is how it looked like the first half would finish. Pembroke however had the final say of the half when they went over for another try, their third of the game in the final seconds of the half. The conversion was missed making it 13-15 to the away side at the interval.

The second half was only eight minutes long when Meleri Hicks went over for a well taken try just two minutes having come onto the pitch, the conversion was missed, 18-15 to the Piod Pinc. The game was now a ding-dong battle with the lead continuously changing hands. Pembroke crashed over for another unconverted try to take back the lead, 18-20. As the half wore on Campbell-Cross slotted over another penalty to take back the lead, 21-20. On 70 minutes a well worked move from a Tumble scrum saw Mel Hicks cross in the corner for her second try of the game to make the score 26-20. The conversion attempted went wide but the Piod Pinc held out for the final 10 minutes to secure a fine win against a difficult and resilient opponent. The win takes the Piod Pinc top of Admiral League Division 3 with 2 wins from 2 games played.
