The Piod Pinc welcomed old adversaries Deri Ladies to Parc y Mynydd Mawr for the sixth meeting between the two sides in the last two seasons. Despite taking an early 7-0 lead through a try from full back Jess Thomas, which was converted by outside half Kirsten Field the girls could not hold out against a powerful Deri side who eventually ran out winners by 34 points to 7. After such a full blooded and hard fought fixture the coaches will be hoping that the numerous injures which occurred during the game don't turn out to be too serious and some of players are back in contention before the next fixture, away at Pontarddulais RFC on 4th November.
