The Magpies run of good form continued and saw them move into second position with a bonus point win against Aberaeron RFC. Despite the game being played in heavy rain and 50mph winds the Magpies scored some outstanding tries which belied the mud bath conditions. Tumble went into the break 17-7 up despite playing into a strong head wind while another three second half tries saw them emerge 30-10 winners. Tumble's tries were scored through full back James Owens (2), wing Nicky Allinson, hooker Rhys Lewis and flanker Steffan Owen. The boot of centre Leighton McKenna kicked a penalty and conversion despite the difficult conditions. The bonus point win ensures that the Magpies leapfrog Trimsaran into second position 2 points and a game in hand behind leaders Burry Port who drew 24-24 at home to Llangadog. Next weekend Tumble welcome Lampeter Town to Parc y Mynydd Mawr in the third round of the SSE SWALEC Bowl.
