Tumble traveled to Pembrokeshire to face struggling Haverfordwest in Division 2 West and encountered a side which belied their lowly league position. The Blues shaded the first half and went into the break 12-10 up with the Magpies points coming from a Rhys Lewis try which was converted by outside half Steven Hewitt, who also kicked a penalty. The second half saw Haverfordwest hit the Magpies with two early converted tries to make the score 26-10 and give Tumble a mountain to climb. The Magpies pack, which was dominant throughout stepped up to the mark and back came Tumble with tries from substitutes Dafydd Humphreys and Iwan Morgan. With only 7 minutes remaining on the clock hooker Rhys Lewis burst over for his second try which Hewitt duly converted to make the score 26-27 to the Magpies. Unfortunately with only 2 minutes left on the clock Haverfordwest were awarded a penalty which was successfully converted to give the Blues a thrilling 29-27 win. Tumble now have a week to get over the disappointment of this defeat (although on a positive note two bonus points were gained) before welcoming Tenby United to Parc y Mynydd Mawr next Saturday.
