A fourteen try spectacular was the result of Tumble's visit to Tenby with the visitors picking up a bonus point having scored five tries.
The Magpies were under pressure from the outset and found themselves 13-0 down after twelve minutes as the result of some poor defensive work. When Tumble moved the ball wide they looked sharp and, when Steve Hewitt broke the defence he was able to feed captain Gareth Beynon who was on his inside to score under the posts. Leighton McKenna converted.
Tumble defensive frailties were again exposed and they conceded a further two tries in the space of five minutes with thirty minutes gone. The Magpies pack were again a shining example of how the play a forward game and, had their just rewards when they rumbled the home side over the line for hooker Rhys Lewis to touch down with McKenna adding the extras. The half time score was 25-14.
With the restart, Tenby worked their way up field and scored within two minutes. Back however came the Magpies and with Tumble winning a lineout twenty-five metres out, they out muscled the opposition forwards who went back at a rate of knots and James Stephens got the touchdown for a converted try.
The Magpies were now pressing for a fourth try but, with a penalty being awarded to Tumble, they missed touch in the home twenty-two and Tenby spun the ball through the hands resulting in them crossing over for a converted try. Again pressing, Tumble conceded a penalty in the opposition twenty-two. Penalised a further ten metres, it was quickly taken and the full back carved through for a converted try the length of the field. With ten minutes remaining, Tumble pressed hard, but again lost turnover ball and it was spread quickly and Tenby had another score from their own twenty two with the Magpies pressing.
Tumble's forwards were everywhere and, when Tenby were unable to gather the restart, flanker Owain Davies gathered and was charging through the defence like a man possessed and got his reward with Tumble's bonus point fourth try. Steve Hewitt added the conversion. Tumble's backs tried hard to find gaps, Steff Price created problems, Hewitt probed and jinked but it was too little too late. Four minutes remained but, such was the tempo of the game, coupled with some tired Tumble defence, Tenby scored two further tries. In between, another Tumble drive destroyed the opposition pack and second row iron man Nathan Willard got a consolation try which Hewitt added the extras.
A week off as no game next Saturday before the Magpies face fierce neighbours Pontyberem at home on 17th December.
