Sunday saw the Piod Pinc welcome Pontarddulais RFC Ladies to Parc y Mynydd Mawr for their first game of the season in Division 2 of the Women's National League. The girls got off to a flying start in the first half with tries from fullback Sophie Pick, centre Sophie Campbell-Cross (playing her first game for the Piod Pinc after training with the girls since the age of 16) and two from centre Darcy Hardy. Outside half Kirsten Field added two conversions to give the Piod Pinc a commanding 24-5 lead at half-time.
The second half saw Bont come right back into the game and pull the score back to 24-15 before Hardy went over again to complete her hat-trick and make the score 29-20 to Tumble. Bont weren't however finished and scored another try to make the score 29-25 and give a nervious final few minutes for the Tumble supporters. The girls however held out to claim the win and the bonus point in their first league fixture. Da iawn ferched.
